Sugar BayRESORT & SPA

An independent island travel journal

Privacy policy

Effective October 15, 2026.

sugarbayresortandspa.com operates this independent travel publication. This policy explains what happens to information when you read the site or contact us.

Reading the site

You do not need an account to read our articles. We do not provide booking services, accept payments, or offer a newsletter sign-up. We do not use advertising pixels or audience analytics on these pages.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, receives technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include your IP address, requested page, browser information, request time, and error details. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

The site uses AMP software served by Google. Your browser requests that software when you open a page, which shares normal connection details, including your IP address, with that provider. See Google's privacy policy and Netlify's privacy policy for their practices. These services may process information outside your country.

Cookies and tracking

We do not set optional analytics or advertising cookies. Our pages do not embed social feeds, videos, or booking widgets. Technical services may use measures needed for delivery, security, or abuse prevention. If our use of tracking changes, we will update this policy and provide any required choice before optional tracking begins.

Email

If you contact hello@sugarbayresortandspa.com, your email provider and ours process your message and related delivery details. We use messages to respond to questions, handle corrections, or address requests. Please do not send payment details, identity documents, or other sensitive information.

We keep correspondence only as long as needed for the issue, related records, or legal duties. We do not sell email addresses or use correspondence to create marketing lists.

Links to other websites

Hotel links and other resources lead to independent websites with their own terms and privacy practices. Those websites receive information when you visit them. We do not control their booking systems, cookies, or handling of your information.

Editorial identity and assistance

Clara Bennett is a synthesized editorial identity, and the author portrait is an illustration. The publication uses AI assistance in preparing text and artwork. First-person recommendations express editorial judgments, not claims of personal hotel stays or hands-on testing. Illustrations of destinations or stay types are labeled so they are not mistaken for property photographs.

This publication does not operate Sugar Bay Resort or any hotel it covers and does not share the former resort owner's operating history. Hotel names belong to their respective owners.

Affiliate links

The site does not currently use affiliate links. If we add them, we may earn a commission when a reader makes a qualifying purchase. We will identify those links or arrangements where they appear and update this policy.

Your requests

You may contact us to ask about personal information you have shared, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including access, restriction, objection, or a complaint to a local data protection authority. We may need enough information to confirm that a request relates to you. Legal obligations may limit some requests.

Children and changes

The site is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

We will revise this page when our practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy. For questions, write to hello@sugarbayresortandspa.com.
